​Mother:  Immunological activation from infection, autoimmune and genetic predisposition

Gestation:  Fetal immune status plus genetic helps determine vulnerability to MIA

Childhood:  MIA offspring have heightened risk for autism spectrum disorder.

• ​Further, many disorders SHARE COMMON GENES.
• Addtionally, MIA is now associated with many neuro-developmental and psychiatric disorders. (See Table further below)
  

Adolescence:  MIA offspring more suseptible to "second hits" induced stress and drug abuse.

Adulthood:  MIA offspring have high level of psychiatric and neurological disorders.

HYPER-CONNECTED BRAINS

Go Beyond Autism ---- to ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Depression & Schizophrenia 

CONJECTURE:   I think the HYPER-CONNECTED Brains of people with Neuro-Developmental and/or Psychiatric Disorders are greatly exacerbated by the IGNORANCE and UNCONSCIOUS HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT NEURO-DIVERSE People find themselves in.

• When Neuro-Diverse BURNOUT is not more CONSCIOUSLY and KNOWINGLY MANAGED --- it does lead to BREAKDOWN.

There's a certain TOWER of BABEL aspect to INFLAMMATION:

• Most people are born with some LEVEL of NEURO-DEVELOPMENTAL INFLAMMATION
• INFLAMMATION is "CODING" an ENORMOUS RANGE of INFORMATION 
• It's looking like --- the GENES across "DISORDERS" are often SHARED.
• The BIG DIFFERENCES may be in:
  • LEVELS of NEURO-DEVELOPMENTAL INFLAMMATION
  • Environment, and 
  • EPIGENETICS

MENTAL HEALTH CARE as it is currently structured in the US is NOT SUSTAINABLE.

Everybody wants to do the BEST JOB POSSIBLE  --- but we encounter a lot of BARRIERS.

WRONG or INCOMPETE or PARTIAL PARADIGMS are often the BIGGEST BARRIER but they are the MOST DIFFICULT to address.

There are new understandings RIGHT NOW in the RESEARCH but we're TOO BUSY to incorporate them because we're addressing one CRISIS after ANOTHER that is NOT just the result of inadequate resources.

• It's also the result of INADEQUATE UNDERSTANDINGS.

The new understandings regarding Immuno-Psychiatry and Maternal Immune Activation are NOT PERFECT.

But they raise REASONABLE DOUBT, especially as Anti-Social Personality Disorder is being re-conceptualized as a Neuro-Developmental Disorder.
