Orchid Brief Analysis:

Essentially the arrays of services are the same between the two waivers, except the CMHS waiver does not have:

  • Community Transition Services from a nursing home (although we thought that had been added to the CMHS waiver)
  • IHHS (In Home Support Services)            

What we NEED:

1.  The prison & the jail
2.   The Mental Health Institute
3.    Etc. -- wherever necessary

PEER Run Respite Services

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) where reasonably medically necessary.

Services that people need to stay out of prison, jail, the hospital, the nursing home and/or that are necessary to prevent people from becoming at great risk of institutionalization such as the risk that is inherent in homelessness.
