What does membership mean?
Generally it means members support our advocacy work.
Further, members are open to being contacted about advocacy initiatives such as petitions, etc. Additionally, members have priority [although not a guarantee] in having items of interest posted on the Orchid website and features on concerns or innovative work. If you think there may be under represented individuals who might be interested in our work -- please share our site with them. We are very focused on data-driven advocacy @ all levels: Colorado, Nationally and Internationally. Generally, we support Comprehensive Continuums of Care that are tied to the Social Determinants of Health, especially Housing. In the US, we are interested in data-driven effective administrative enforcement of Federal Disability Civil Rights Laws, including:
Internationally, we are interested in mechanisms through the World Health Organization, the World Bank, and other International Organizations to create incentives to bring the Social Determinants of Health to Scale:
