Orchid: A Radical Interdisciplinary Approach to Cognitive Disability Advocacy
We are talking about a profoundly:
What we have currently been able to do with Orchid Advocacy and Orchid Global is HINT at what could be done with this -- however imperfectly. There is a lot of IRONY in being able to CONNECT all this up -- and a lot of people would say -- it is not necessarily the HEALTHIEST MIND that can do it. Further, the HUMANITIES have often sustained those less than healthy minds, even as we've struggled to support the Arts and Humanities -- their INSIGHTS are not the IRRELEVANT musings of a bygone age -- and they have much to teach us -- with needed INSIGHTS of those LIVING NOW. Religion and Faith are a POWERFUL FORCE in this VALE OF TEARS and FAILED SYSTEMS and PEOPLE. Philosophy could serve as an important bridge in the gap between SCIENCE and RELIGION -- with the powerful knowledge that much is in how we DEFINE it. We've re-defined Science and Religion/Faith many times over the MILLENIA. If we could figure out how to get on the SAME TEAM without SACRIFICING OUR INTEGRITY -- the future looks very bright. |
