We don't necessarily think there is ONE SOLUTION to the problem of people who could probably satisfy the criteria for "Gravely Disabled" and are homelessness and/or  involved with the Criminal Justice System  or @ great risk of those things.

CERTIFICATION may be so upsetting and a loss of trust that it may not be worth it.

Further, many people who are experiencing COGNITIVE DISABILITY are not just experiencing it from ONE SOURCE but it may be from NUMEROUS SOURCES -- mental illness, brain injury, substance issues, and developmental disabilities.

So there is NEED for inclusion and advocacy for people with sometimes multiple concerns, especially for those who are homeless or involved with the Criminal Justice System..

We think INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTERS should be included as PART of the ANSWER.
