​The Limits of DIGITAL for Purposes of ​ENTRAINMENT and SOCIAL COHESION

  • The whole "PARTICIPATION AWARD" Meme in our CULTURE reveals how COMPETITIVE we've become and how COMPETITIVE we feel like we've had to become.
  • ENTRAINMENT is NOT about COMPETITION --- it's about INCLUSION and it's recognizing the DEEP NEED of INCLUSION to achieve SOCIAL COHESION.
 
  • Further, some barriers such as using a wheelchair or hearing impairment can be worked around.
 
  • It's a lot about COMMON MUSICAL PATTERNS and MOVEMENTS --- often spending most of the time on that --- and then SHORT BREAKS.
    • ​That takes a lot pressure off people to produce HOURS of SMALL TALK.
    • Further, when they do get to that SMALL TALK MOMENT --- they've already had 30 to 45 minutes of SOCIAL DANCE
      • ​They're more relaxed, 
      • ​There has been "ENTRAINMENT" from both the shared MUSIC & MOVEMENT, and
      • HOPEFULLY there's also been 30 to 45 minutes of SAFE TOUCH.
 
  • The possibility of ENTRAINMENT and SOCIAL INCLUSION from MUSIC and SOCIAL DANCE are to be included in our broader report on a RADICAL INTER-DISCIPLINARY APPROACH to Cognitive Disability Advocacy and Treatment.​
    • ​Two Basic Ideas are:
      • ​The Need for Outlets for People with Developmentally more INTENSE EMOTIONS as well as EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING DIFFERENCES, and
      • The Need for Social Inclusion

​YouTube started their EXPLORE Pages this summer --- and it appears to be an attempt to FACILITATE EXPLORATION of other music (and other types of videos) while still highlighting what's most popular.
