Do we need an Audit of Medicaid intensive mental Health services in Colorado?

       An Audit was very helpful in revealing the legitimate needs of the Colorado Child Welfare System.
        We would argue that Mental Health is even more neglected, and beyond that national mental health advocates and ourselves have noted that the needs of those needing intensive mental health services have been particularly neglected.
        The following are very promising:
  1. An Olmstead Compliance Work Group promised by the Governor's Office; and
  2. A "Comprehensive" Behavioral Health Care Plan mentioned in Governor Hickenlooper's State of the State.

We don't have any specifics yet for the above and we have additional concerns with regard to the State's responsiveness on:
  1. A Work Group to Ban Administrative Segregation (Solitary) for Vulnerable Populations in Colorado Jails; and
  2. A Work Group to Address Parity, Olmstead, and Civil Rights Concerns regarding Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) in Colorado
