Mental & Physical Racial & Ethnic Health Disparities & 
Real World Consequences

          Immediately to the right is a PBS NewsHour video on the recently released Ferguson Action Plan report.
            Within the report, it noted that some Black residents were essentially living in a Third World country with life spans 40 years less than white residents.
             The video to the far right notes that people who are subjected to racism and unreasonable law enforcement activity suffer mental health consequences.
              Further, people of color are grossly over-represented in the Criminal Justice System.
              We keep calling on State officials to act, we know:

1. They are busy;
2. These issues span multiple systems; AND
3. If they would just listen to us -- this would all go a lot quicker! 
4. Of course, it's a 2-way street & we love having substantive discussions & listening & trying to understand other people's points of view -- AND when the State refuses to have substantive discussions and engages in Bad Faith behavior -- well -- it makes it difficult.
5. AND today's a new day and we're not easy to deal with either.
